TNP Strategic Retail Trust Welcomes Two New Tenants at Northgate Plaza in Tucson, Arizona

TNP Strategic Retail Trust, Inc. (the 'Company'), a publicly registered non-traded REIT that invests in grocery and drug-store anchored, multitenant necessity retail properties in the western United States, signed lease agreements with two prominent retailers at Northgate Plaza Shopping Center in Tucson, Arizona.

Northgate Plaza is an approximately 103,500 square foot Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market anchored center located on a major retail corridor at the northeast corner of Grant Road and Alvernon Way in Tucson. These two new leases increase the occupancy from 79 percent to 93 percent.

Twice As Nice, an established multi-unit retail outlet specializing in buying, selling and trading clothing, accessories, jewelry, furniture and baby equipment, signed a 10-year lease for 9,000 square feet. Pet Club, one of the nation's fastest growing suppliers of pet products, signed a 7-year lease for 5,500 square feet. Pet Club and Twice As Nice will be joining a roster of marquee tenants at Northgate, including Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, Dollar Tree, Rent-A-Center®, BURGER KING®, SUBWAY® and RadioShack®. The broker representing TNP Strategic Retail Trust in both transactions was Debbie Heslop at Volk Company.

'It's been less than 45 days since TNP Strategic Retail Trust acquired this asset so we are especially pleased by Debbie's efforts and the excellent leasing velocity at Northgate which has exceeded our lease-up projections.
